SAMHSA has asked us to locate 4 providers with early childhood, child
development, and/or teaching expertise who will work for 2 weeks with
the children of first responders (police, firefighters, etc.). Between 35
and 50 children and their families are living on 2 cruise ships docked in
New Orleans. At this time there is no programming for any of these
children who range in age from 2 to 11. SAMHSA has funds to cover travel and to compensate individuals for their time. Please ask your networks for any volunteers and have them send their resumes to MelKisha Knight at
