I've been a nanny for almost 10 years. I'm ending a five-year run with my current family to go back to school.

Literally 35 years. I began babysitting when I was 12 and even before the Ex and I started our family, we started a casual after school program in our apartment building for children of working parents when we were in the Air Force and worked graveyards, thus we were home during the afternoons. I worked both as a child care worker as well as a child rights activist, sometimes working in a field not associated with children, but spending my off time as a volunteer, later to return and work (meaning getting paid) in these areas. I only became a nanny a little over a year ago at the age of 46. :)
